Two Malaysian airlines have placed a total ban against certain model of Macbook Pro that are subjected to recall due to battery issues that could cause to overheat.
Malaysia Airlines is banning the carriage of old models of 15inch Macbook pro. This affects older models sold between September 2015 and February 2017.
Air Asia also announced that electronic devices with a battery installed that are under the recall list would not be allowed to check-in and hand-carry the device onboard. The recall notice was the second from the company this year. In April, The tech giant recalled its wall plug adapters after finding out the three-pronged adapter could break in some cases and shock the users if touched.
