HONG KONG: In Simon Yam’s latest photo, it isn’t obvious that he was attacked and underwent two operations just two months ago.
At a promotional event in Zhongshan city in southern China in July, the Hong Kong actor stabbed in the abdomen and had his fingers slashed.
Three weeks after the assault, he returned to work to promote his new film Little Q, a story about a guide dog in which he plays a chef who is losing his eyesight.
His wife, Qi Qi, posted a photo on Weibo with him and wrote that they went jogging together over the weekend. The 51-year-old model disclosed that she jogged for 6km, while Yam jogged for 10km.
After the attack in Zhongshan, Yan said that he planned to cut his workload and spend more time with his family. The couple has a 14-year-old daughter, Ella, who was recently dubbed “the prettiest second-generation star” by the HongKong media.
You will see Yam in his next movie, My People, My Country that was produced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on Oct 1.
