Popular 1980s singer Datuk Nassier Wahab was declared dead at 12.45 am this morning (Dec 5).
The news was confirmed by friend and fellow singer Zur Eda.
The popular singer, 57, had been battling gum cancer for five years. He underwent surgery to remove a growth on his left jaw back in June.
Nasser died shortly after vomiting blood when he was receiving follow-up treatment at a hospital in Petaling Jaya.
Nasser is best known for hits like Memori Cinta Luka and Sekali Aku Jatuh Cinta.
He is survived by wife Fatimah Abd Rauf, 56, and a daughter, Intan Najihah, 22.
