Johor woman died of heart failure, not pollution

PETALING JAYA: It was revealed that the cause of death of a woman (who allegedly suffered breathing) in Johor is decompensated heart failure, not pollution.

The death is not connected to the air pollution in Pasir Gudang. The woman suffers from chronic hypertension for 10 years, according to the Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Checks revealed that the woman, identified as Marini Kasman, 38, also had acute high blood pressure.

Dzulkefly and Marini’s husband, A Bakar Abd Rahman, 48, pleaded to the public, NGOs and political parties to respect the family’s feelings and not share information about her death. The husband also asked to stop circulating pictures of his late wife.
