Google honours Malaysian icon Sudirman with unique doodle

Google has made tribute to late Malaysian singer and songwriter Sudirman Arshad with a unique “doodle” next to his 65th birthday on Friday (May 25).

Recognised as Sudirman by his army of fans, the gifted artist was born
in Temerloh, Pahang in 1954. He was the youngest of 7 kids.

In its statement, Google pointed out the famous singer’s biography and unbelievable successes. He was a singer, songwriter, author, visual artist, as well as actor.

Before turning into one of the preferred performers in Asia, Sudirman worked as a journalist and an attorney. He was appreciated for his piercing tenor voice and for staging among the largest free shows in Malaysian history.

Sudirman died from pneumonia at the age of 37 in February 1992.
