Malaysia to phase out all analog tv transmission

KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced that a complete switch over from analog

TV to digital TV by the end of the month. The old transmissions have been cut in the Klang Valley and Southern states as of Sept 30 with the remaining states to be completed before November 2019.

There are currently 15 TV channels and 6 radio channels at a higher digital quality. These are Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM), Media Prima, TV AlHijrah, dan Bernama News Channel (BNC).

MCMC said More channels will be added to the new platform in the future.
