KUALA LUMPUR : German auto marque Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd kept its number one place in the premium industry in the first quarter of this year ,selling 2 ,944 vehicles in spite of what it called ‘a challenging market environment’ .
The premium car producer introduced five new versions since the starting of the year , namely the E200 Sportstyle Avantgarde , E300 Exclusive , E350 AMG Line , GLC 300 Coupe and GLE 450 AMG Line , to keep its position as market leader in the segment .
The shift ensured the company its best March ever with 1 ,334 vehicles sold for the month .
The A200 Progressive Line runs on a 1.4 litre engine generating 163 hp with 250 Nm of torque while the A250 AMG Line is powered by a 2.0 litre engine, generating 224 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
Positioned at the lower end of Mercedes-Benz’s ‘limousine’ segment, the A-Class is equipped with semi-autonomous driving features, like the S-class.
The new A-Class also features the completely new MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience multimedia system.
