SHAH ALAM – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has insisted today that the succession plan was discussed by Pakatan Harapan.
The PKR President downplayed Mahathir’s denial that such talk took place. Anwar said that it happened before the 14th general election.
However, the transition date was to be later decided.“There have been discussions on the time frame. To suggest there has been no discussion is not quite right,” said Anwar.
It was initially thought the succession would take place within two years but it has been revealed that there was no timeline formally agreed.
Anwar said he is satisfied with his continued assurance that PM Mahathir will honor the promise of surrendering the power to him.
