Syed Saddiq to file a report over fake news

KUALA LUMPUR – The Youth and Sports Ministry Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has denied a report claiming he was at a drug party and lodge a police report over fake news that affected its image.

“We will file a police report and take legal action to anyone who spread the fake news especially since it involves the integrity of the ministry,” he said.

Syed Saddiq was referring to a report by “Johor Press” had claimed that he had left the party before the police raid.

The article which went viral affected his image and integrity as a minister.

Selangor PPBM Youth chief Adhif Syan Abdullah and AhmadRedzuan Mohamed Shafi were reportedly among the 17 people arrested during the drug raid at a Puchong condominium last January 12.

The two have been suspended to help assist the police in the investigation.
