Anwar calls for an end to race-based politics

KUALA LUMPUR – PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged the parties to move away from race-based politics to ensure equality for everyone.

The comments came days after former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad formed yet another malay-based party.

According to Anwar, it’s sad for alot of politician that are still using the race card for their own interest. He assured the public that if he’ll be given a chance to lead the country, he will look into this issue together will solving the poverty, inequality in the education system, and economic difficulty the country is currently facing.

He added that some politicians are playing the Bumiputera card to enrich cronies and urged to put a stop into this.

The Port Dickson MP also claimed that about a million people are expected to be unemployed by the end of the year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. He said that there are about 860,000 people are currently unemployed. Anwar is currently preparing for the possible snap election.
