JOHOR BAHRU – The state government through the Public Transport Corporation (PAJ) has decided to providefree shuttle bus service for Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA) walking from Woodlands Checkpoint to the Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ).
According to Public Transport Corporation (PAJ), Those travellers who wished to enter Johor from Singapore may avail on the free shuttle stationed at the border.
11 trips has been assigned from 7:30AM to 6:30PM daily.
State Public Works, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee chairman Mohd Solihan Badri said that the initiative was a result of an agreement between the Customs, CIQ and Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
Since the past three days, the government has provided free bus for the people however, it’s necessary for the bus to make a U-turn at the border but now becuase of the agreement, the bus can now turn at the ICA in Woodlands instead.
Under the Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA), Singapore and Malaysia citizens who hold long term immigration passes for work and business related are allowed to cross and endter the country. PAJ urged the travellers who wished to ride the bus to observe and comply with the standard operating procedure being implemented by the Malaysia’s Ministry of Health.
