Six more RTD officers charged with graft in Penang

BUTTERWORTH: Six more enforcement officers from the Penang Road Transport Department (RTD) we charged today in the Special Corruption Court in connection in a lorry protection racket.

Six officers were charged with 14 separate counts of receiving bribes totaling RM10,900 from a transport company director to protect drivers who violated the law.

All six of them plead not guilty to all the charges. They are among the 18 JPJ officers to be charged and investigated according to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
