Dr. M urges Muslim nations to resist foreign interference

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said on Thursday that Muslim countries must be strong and resist foreign interference in their affairs.

“It is important that we learn how to produce things by ourselves,” PM said in the question-and-answer in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019.

Mahathir wants unity and cooperation amongst Muslim countries and takes advantage of the 1.7 billion Muslim markets to strengthen their economy.“If we are too dependent on everything from other countries, then we’ll always be dependent rather than independent,” he added.

Iranian President Rouhani and Turkish President Erdogan also participated in the discussion.
