KUALA LUMPUR – The prime minister’s wife Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali shared her experience undergoing breast surgery at the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
She said the doctors confirmed a small lump in her left breast after she underwent a series of tests in a hospital here.
She was advised by the doctors to remove the lump within a week. “Breast cancer can happen to anyone, regardless of age, from the young to someone in their 90s like me,” she said.
After undergoing another checkup to confirm the growth, she went into the operating room on Saturday to perform the procedure and the operation was over in the afternoon.
