The Government will accept the offer of those who can bring in Low

Anyone who wants to bring back fugitive financier Low Taek Jho is welcome to do so, said Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The premier said the Government will accept the offer of those who can bring in Low, also known as Jho Low.

“If he (Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein) want to do it, he can do it. (But) we won’t be giving him any help, nothing.

“He can do it himself. I don’t need to ask him to become my representative, no way. He can do it himself.

“If he says he can, he is welcome to do so,” said Dr Mahathir at a press conference with the Malaysian media here on Thursday (Oct 25).

He said this when asked to comment on the former defence minister’s offer in his personal capacity to try and bring back Jho Low.

Hishammuddin said he would use his previous contacts and links with the Chinese government to try and bring back the fugitive financier, if he is in China.

He said that Jho Low was essential to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) investigations.
