PETALING JAYA: Prime minister-in-waiting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tells parties that have been pushing for him to assume the premiership to stop doing so.
Prime minister-in-waiting Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim urged the parties to stop pushing for him to assume the premiership.
According to the PKR president, all parties should respect the consensus which was agreed upon within the coalition on Jan 18, 2018.
He has promised to support Prime Minister Tun Dr. MahathirMohamad in steering the country towards strengthening the economy, Anwar said.
“Pakatan Harapan and Tun Dr. Mahathir have reiterated their commitment numerous times, that is to ensure the success of the transition of power as agreed.“So, it is fair that we respect the decision for it to happen in a peaceful and orderly manner,“ he said.
