Azmin joins calls on Mahathir to remain prime minister until the end of his term

Kuala Lumpur:  Malaysian Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali joined the rival political parties PAS and Umno on calling for PM Mahathir to serve out his full term as the prime minister.

He said that the leadership of PM Mahathir was vital to ensure the stability, continuity and consistency of government policies to drive investment as well as create jobs and prosperity for everyone.

PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang also expressed his belief that Dr. Mahathir completing his full term could greatly benefit Malaysia’s stability. Mahathir has promised to end his term early before the next general election in 2023 and suggested Anwar as his successor several times since becoming prime minister although the handover date is still unclear.
