KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak has made appearances on two separate courts for his 1Malaysia Development Bhd and SRC International trials.
His day started at 9 am Monday at the 1MDB trial before High Court judge Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah, with the cross-examination of former 1MDB CEO Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi.
At around 10 am, the proceeding was adjourned to give way for High Court judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali to deliver his much-anticipated decision in the SRCInternational trial, where Najib is accused of seven charges involving the misappropriation of RM42mil in SRC funds.
Najib is seen wearing a black suit with an orange tie, making his way to Justice Mohd Nazlan’s court located at the floor above Justice Sequerah’s amidst heavy media presence.
The arrival of his lead counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah greeted with thunderous applause by Najib’s supporters waiting outside the courtroom.
Among those in the public gallery are Umno vice-presidentDatuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and MIC deputy president Datuk M. Saravanan.
Najib’s daughter Nooryana Najwa is also present.
The 1MDB trial is expected to resume later in the afternoon.
