PETALING JAYA – PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that the dismissal of two PKR members was necessary after seeing a letter sent by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to his party on Oct 23.
Datuk Ahmad Kassim, the party’s disciplinary board chairman, informed Anwar of the letter recommending actions for the alleged crimes involving Bera division chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid and Pahang PKR member Ismail Delhi.
“It’s a serious matter, I read the recommendations that action ought to be taken against the two, with evidence of power abuse and bribery. We cannot take this matter for granted,” Anwar said.
Anwar defended the party’s decision, saying that any form of corruption will not be tolerated within the party.
