Canelo will move up to face Kovalev on November 2

LOS ANGELES – Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is to make a two-division jump in weight classes to face Russia’s WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev in a scheduled 12-round fight at the MGM Grand, it was announced yesterday.

It will be his first ever fight      at the light heavyweight division.

Kovalev (34-3-1), a known heavy puncher with knockout in 29 of his wins will be defending his light heavyweight title against the mexican in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will be broadcast by the online streaming service DAZN.
