Chelsea’s star Cesc Fabregas moved from Chelsea to Monaco yesterday to play under his former teammate Thierry Henry.
Fabregas signed a 3 and a half year contract with Monaco after passing his medical tests earlier.
The deal is €10 million and Cesc can make his debut for Monaco in tomorrow’s game vs Marseille.
Fabregas played with Monaco boss Henry at Arsenal at the start of his career, between 2003 and 2007, and the two share the same agent in Darren Dein.
Fabregas recently tweeted: “Wow. I’m honored to announce that I will be starting an exciting journey with this wonderfully historic Club. @AS_Monaco will be my home for the next 3.5 years and I cannot wait to start this new challenge,”
Fabregas, 31, was playing for Arsenal in the premier league before he moved to Spain to play for Barcelona then he returned to the premier league with Chelsea in 2014.
After winning two Premier League titles with the Blues, he has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge this season under new coach Maurizio Sarri.
Fabregas made a tearful farewell to Chelsea fans in Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup win at home against Nottingham Forest, where he had a penalty saved.
