Malaysia bags 2 gold medals at SEA Games

MANILA: Thanks to netball and silat, Malaysia bagged two more gold medals at the Philippines SEA Games.

Malaysia retained its netball gold after beating arch-rivals Singapore 48-42 in a closely contested final at the Santa Rosa Sports Complex here on Monday (Dec 2).

It didn’t take long after Malaysia got another victory from the silat team when Taqiyuddin Hamid and Sazzlan Yuga punched and kicked their way to the Ganda Putra (men’s doubles) in seni discipline (exhibition).

They pipped host Philippines on technical countback after both teams finished on matching 564 points.
