Oppo Malaysia released a teaser of an incoming quad-camera smartphone. This phone promises to offer improved features for photography with an innovative design. This is likely to be the new Reno 2 series and will be launched on September.
The new smartphone will feature an amazing quad-lens camera and each lens will work together seamlessly to provide incredible photography results, according to Oppo. If you’ve watched the teaser, the device is shown with a quad-camera setup with three cameras in a column and one extra shooter positioned on the right.
With the current Oppo Reno 2 series, the new devices have a quad-camera setup with four cameras arranged vertically in a single line. It is possible that the incoming smartphone would be a different model from the Indian market judging by the camera layout.
Oppo (JIE Business Sdn Bhd) had gotten a total of 5 new smartphones certified under SIRIM since last week. Indonesia’s regulatory body had given green light to at least three of the devices.
To sum up, the Oppo Reno 2 features a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display and it runs a Snapdragon 730G processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. For imaging, the rear gets a 48MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP mono lens. The device also gets a wedge-shaped pop-up selfie camera that has a 16MP front camera. The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 Flash Charging via USB-C. Apart from the Oppo Reno 2, there are also more affordable models such as the Reno 2 Z that’s running on an Helio P90 processor and the Reno 2F that uses an Helio P70 processor.
