Cafe Coffee Day founder has gone missing

Bengaluru: VG Siddhartha, the founder of India’s largest coffee chain Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) has reportedly been missing in the southern city of Mangalore, police say.

With more than 200 men and divers, The police on Tuesday launched a major hunt for one of the country’s richest man. He was last seen crossing a bridge on the Netravati river. Siddhartha failed to return two hours later. Siddhartha founded the Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) in 1996 which turned out to be a huge success. He also owns Amalgamated Bean Company (ABC), India’s largest exporter of green coffee.
